Michelle I had the same thing happen to me only it was a manhole cover.But i did't have to replace my whole transmission,what happened was the spider gear i think he called it,it was shaped like a plus sign,blew apart he said and blew a hole in the housing,which is why my fluid all came out, so i needed a new piece and housing.
