Yeah I like the hondas. I hate the ones that look stock but have a b18 or h22. Fav honda is a civic hatch with turbo. Very light car with alot of power equals damn fast car.

This is a friend of mine's Turboed Civic. It is pretty freakin' quick with the turbo now. He was dynoed before the turbo and got 155.1whp and now we can't wait to get it done with the turbo. This is why I now have a T3/T4 sitting in my garage waiting to go on my car this winter. I have to beat him next summer. LOL!!!!

Actually if you read all the descriptions you would have seen this:
and got a B16A2 put in to add a Little power. I also got the car switched from auto to manual.
It was in the first description on the first page. You must have just missed it, but it is definitely a 5-spd now.

Hey MX3man. About your last thread...
There is no way at all that the guy who beat you in the Civic with the H22 is running 14.2 at the 1/4 with only 200hp/160ft torque. I dont even care if he was turbocharged with AWD. There is no way he would be hitting 14.2 with that much torque and hp

By the way, take it easy on street racing.

Hey WAN from Ogden, read a tad more closely. I didn't make the last thread, it was mxze@7psi. I did not list his track times either. Maybe Ogden needs to expand on its special ed. program.

PS, this is an old post, and you would be street racing too if you didn't have a 130 hp car.

a CRX with a H22 all N/A stock motor with just intake and exaust can run as good as in the high 12's, a CRX with a B18c can run as good as mid 13's, and a CRX with a B16 will do just as good as a KLZE swap if not better. now the driver makes all the difference. a stock DelSole with the B16 special edition can run high 14. thats a 3100 pound car. you also got to think its pretty easy to cut the weight of the CRX to 1600lbs.

so a civic with a H22 had damb well better run at least a 14.2 in the 1/4 with a bad driver.

just my 2 cents where it wasnt needed

try out this quarter-mile et calculator it is pretty accurate not perfect but close. http://www.evotuners.com/quarter.htm oh and by the way a crx even if it weighed 1800 pounds with 165 horsepower not wheel but base horsepower would not run 10 seconds it would run around 13's try it on the calculator you will see. I'll put it to you like this the new lotus elise is gonna weigh 1800lbs on point actually and it is gonna have 190 horsepower and runs only low 13's i mean that is good but that is more than 165 and runs 13's. Try it out

it would be perfect if it would let you input other info such as gears etc, since how can it calculate even close if it doesnt calculate gear ratio etc. Times might be off as far as 2.00 seconds

Thats wierd. GSX Eclipses run high 14s and it has about 215hp & 210ft torque with all wheel drive and boost from the turbo.
A 95 5.0L Mustang runs mid 14s and it has 220hp and 280ft torque.
Yet a Civic CRX with a H22 can run high 12s. I'm amazed.

I got a question
You guys arent basing it off the online 1/4mile calculator thing, right?
Because I just did a search thing by using the 5.0L Mustang specs and it says they run 15.71.
Have you guys actually seen a H22 run high 12s stock at the track?

just because a car is awd doesent mean its going to be faster than the rest. you need to look at wieght ratios. a H22A has 220hp and 153ft torque and redlines at 8 gran, and in a Crx that only weighs 1600 lbs. vs a 220hp 5.0 with 280ft torque redlines at 5 gran and weighs twice as much. im going with the Crx. and i have seen them run in the 12's and iv seen a B18C run in the 13's. its not unheard of. but in a CRX. in a Civic it will be alittle different.
the reason they are so fast is cause they are built like motorcycle engines. all high output. no low end power but when they get over 5500 rpm they can keep it up there. if you ever get a chance to drive a Dohc Honda like a civic SI or an Integra GSR. they are amazing machines. the V-tec is awsome. its like a powerban on a CR 250 dirt bike. its just insane amount of power. thats why they do so good turboed. all their power will be made in the high end.
