if you're dead set on swapping in a v6, rock on, but why would you want to swap in the k8? if you're going to go through the trouble of swapping in a v6, at least swap in a kl.

yea but i also want to turbocharge my v6 and i heard that its nearly impossible with the kl because of the engine space being so small.

I intalled the TURD-NADO onto my moms chevy venture minivan and all i can say is WOW... I was racing it against ferrari's and dodge vipers and beating them by like 10 car lengths... I can wait to install one onto my dirtbike, it should be good for about 100 horsepower

Would there be some major diff between turbocharching the SOHC and the DOHC mx-3 RS?
From what I've heard, the exhaust manifold and turbo would be the same, is that right?

the gtx will fit the dohc rs but the ports are smaller from the gtx ----so the turbo manifold from the gtx will have to be port matched to the larger ports of the rs head. if you are putting one on a sohc, then yes a custom one will have to be made. not very hard if you know a machin shop :D
another idea that might be possible is puting the dohc head on the sohc block. i have not looked into this but it might be possible---could work,,might wanna check into it first. then you could get a manifold from a miata. you can also benefit from a higher flowing head at the same time
