ok, then the wheels need to be:
100 x 4, 45mm offset (1.77in)
where 100 is the pitch circle diameter
4 is number of lug nuts ie holes on wheel to connect on car.

So the questionis this:
what is the range of offset that we can use?
45mm plus / minus what?
or does it have to be 45mm exactly?

i see wheels on ebay that are 100x4 but have offset of 40mm, 42mm, etc.

The offset recommended by most wheel manufacturers for 17x7 is 38mm.
45mm is the offset for the standard rims, but they are a lot narrower.
I'm running 17x7 with 38mm offset, and it's just right.

7x17 4x100 et35

Post by jollyroger1965 »

Just a simple question....will a 7X17 et35 be fine or will I have to use spacers or mod my suspension? I see from earlier posts that et38 is great but I have someone selling the above size to me real cheap and need to know if they will fit b4 I part with my £££'s
