Umm well theres alot of places depends on where you live. How much of the car you are going to get repainted/painted? Most if not all body shops have there own paint mixing system.Try carquest, i use the one in Geneva NY and of the 5 times ive ordered paint it has always been right on.My personal preference is Dupont, which is more expensive then say PPG.
You get what you pay for when it comes to paint.

Well if anyone lives in Upstate newyork and need some pieces painted just let me know.I will not repaint entire cars, i will repaint/repair/paint body kits, interior pieces etc. I will do bodywork on the car as long as it is nothing major. I do not charge as much as a body shop, for i am not a certified pro. If i can get access to a scanner i will post some pics.I do exceptional work for my exp lvl. PM me if you need stuff painted and then we will talk prices.

One of my employees offered to do my paint in a airplane paint booth he has access to for $300 - $400 if I do the prep, and buy the paint.

Yeah you can go anywhere as long as you are just paying for the materials and doing almost all the work yourself. Once I get my ASE certification I will let you guys know and hook you up.

good luck with those ase test man, their killer from what friends that have taken them say.

also, if you want to do all the work yourself and just pay materials, look into your local tech schools. many of them run night classes where you can do work yourself. only problem is time restraint but if you take the day off when painting, and make sure all is scuffed really really good, then paint it at night...your whole car should be done and ready to go by morning. and most places will be really good and let your car sit over night. ive done it and it was an awsome way to learn how to do my own body work and get some stuff i wanted done done at the same time.
i got a 90 pgt...but wish it was a mx-3 bp-t!
