Yeah, just the wiring harness from the hinge to everything inside of the door. That was the easiest way for me. Harness only costed $30, so it's not too expensive either. Kuruption has it right, I did what he did. I used my RS door panels and put tweeters in the existing window arm holes.

Mine is a '91 technically speaking, November to be exact. Guess I will have to do a second look as I must have mistaken the current wiring for the correct wiring. Oh well, shouldn't be too hard to find.

Here are the links to the auctions I won: Right side regulator
Left side regulator

jeff i did the swap on my 92 rs. i dont have the wiring documented, but when you decide to wire everything together if you cant get a harness, let me know.

you can find the regulators all over ebay now for some pretty decent prices.. but im sure you can find some better prices at your local ecology or car-parts.com.

For those who did the swap, how did you "glue" the window to the window regulators tray? That is my only concern with the swap, don't need a window falling out.

marlon's right. before you screw those two screws in, make sure you put the window in the tracks on the side (you'll have to put the window back in at an angle.) then once you do that, you'll have to lower the motor tray (either by switch or temp wiring to battery) so you can get access to screwing the window into the tray.

how do i check to make sure the window motor works without using the switches. i just swapped my driverside window stuff and the window wont move. it's either the switch or the motor cause i know the harness is good.

hook the motor up to your switch using the harness (assuming you're hooking it up OE style with the proper harnesses) and then just retrofit a power source to the switch and test em that way. be careful if you switch the + and -, the window will work backwards, pushing up and the motor goes down and vice versa, but at least you'll know it works and you can just switch the switch wire signals.

I was doing this mod on my 93RS. I got the wiring harness taken from GS and it's OE one with original power switch. When I hooked up everything, the sliding seat belt turned on, so did the side mirror, but nothing happens to the power window regulator. I checked everything, and it seems everything's connected tight. I checked the white harness hidden in the black rubber at the door hinge and the harness on RS has less pins than the GS one. Does it matter or my regulator is broken? Please let me know. Thanks.

No, shouldn't matter. Get a constant and ground from your battery and test your motor. You just switch the wires to make it go up or down. If they work, then test your switches. Might be your harness.

I tested the window regulator and they seem to work fine. not sure about the power window switch since there's no way or other mx-3 to test it. I'd appreciate if you can tell me what more to test.

Do you have a fuse in? Don't forget about that. Plug in the switch, get a test light. Push the buttons and see if it gets power. If your switches and motors are good. check the power wire on your harness at the door hinge. But I'm guessing it's the fuse.

I'm not really sure where's the fuse for the door (I assume it's under the steering wheel), but will check on that. About the light you mentioned, is it under the power window switch?
