113k for me. Leaking (or burning, not sure) about 1 quart every 2-3 weeks. Then theres the horrible ticking noise. Someone told me slick50 in place of 1 quart of oil will fix that up on my next oil change (next payday :)). They right? Or will it do more harm then good?

163,300 miles here, still runs great, too bad the piston rings are shot and eats a quart of oil ever 300 miles. Still using my stock clutch too!<p>[ November 12, 2002: Message edited by: Zoso124 ]

Just hit 200,000k over the weekend, also did a nice oil change, and popped in some Injector cleaner, as I do every oil change

Just a note on how important oil changes are, i brought my 94 gs into canadian tire for an oil change and i saw an black mx-3 95 in the shop on the lift and out of curiosity i asked the pimply guy at the cash what was wrong with it...he said it need a new engine, when i asked why he said "SHE bought it brand new and it has the oil in it that came with the car....the car had 120,000 km's on it and not one oil change

I like the sound of that guy with 344klm on his engine. Im happy with the quality of my 1.8 got 225klm on it and just the usual things wrong with it (ticking and oil usage, but oil consumtion is to be expected in older engines) I have plans to swap engine once its gone but if I last to 344 like buddy up there I predict the car will be ready for the bone yard.

when i did the swap i had a lil over 100,000 miles on my car. the reason i rushed the swap was cus i found where my oil was disappearing to. it was going into my cooling system(aka radiator). i didnt want to find out why so i threw the kl-ze in. but i was not having any porobs with the car and im the 2nd owner of it. my 100,000 miles 1.8L was still running strong as the day i bought it. was kinda slow at the track though. i was running 17.1's. i just figured it was the age of the engine.

125,000 miles on my 92 gs, ive always hit between 6000RPMs and 7000RPMs almost EVERY time ive driven it. I keep my oil changes at or under 3000 miles, so its definitely a reliable engine.
