You can do just keep at it. you can use foam board to fill the center and shape it, then glue tinfoil to the foam board dull side down. wax it then fiberglass over after dry cur it off and you will have your piece. then you can fiberglass that piece into place. Spray house insulating foam will work to but takes longer to dry to cut and shape and you need to use single expanding foam.

I really want to see this spoiler done. it looks great so far.

I'll try and do as much on it as i can to save some money at the shop
and yeah I been thinking along those lines too!
A buddy can get me some of that blue construction
foam as he works with CNC & CF alot.

My main cause for concern is the feet of the spoiler
are way off the contour of the hatch.
It either needs shaving to match, or a piece made up
in plasticine first, then moulded properly?

Yah, how i would do it is one of 2 choices of how i would do it.

1- you can cut the inside base until you reach the desired fitment and rework the base with fiberglass and screws, but this method will lower the overall height of your spoiler.

the other way, would be to extend the base to fit. you could use some plastic wrap or something of that nature that will stick to your car without actually adhering to the car. then use some single expanding spray foam to fill in the gaps. let it dry and you can reshape it and the underside will match that of the car perfectly, and all you have to do is epoxy and or fiberglass some bolts in place for mounting.

you could use the blue foam to do the same thing and make an adapter so to speak to mate the spoiler to the car it will just take a while for shaping.

In the past i have used Toilet floor bolts, they are a flat winged head making them real easy to fiberglass or epoxy in place. and they come with a locking nut

harness so I can get the AEM going, before I have to pay for the paintjob on the spoiler.

Yeah it is, does a great job of holding the mesh in place tightly,
and its completely unmolested, well apart from two pilot holes
for the splitter support tie rods

Alright folks, nice little development on the
turbo front here. Just spent 3 hours @ the breakers
Found an MX-3 removed the radiator, then spent
the next 2 hours 45 minutes looking at nearly every car radiator
in there! until I found this


Boost pipes will easily fit past the radiator now, making
the intercooler set up so much easier, with far less distance
on the pipes equally greater throttle response

other development taking place this weekend are coralating
my car ECU loom with the schematics I have from here, to make sure
there the same so I can then send them off.
1/3 of a way there to buying the SPEC stage 2 clutch I also require.

Will do the rad first, then probaly the clutch(remove egr while im there), then get the AEM + boomslang up and running, once all those mods are proven good and working, I can start thinking about putting on the turbo, injectors and intercooler.
