i had the same problem with the 4 screws that held the spoiler to the garnish, they were rusted to hell, i was able to get 1 out but had to drill the other 3 out, went to crappy tire and found some new "body screws" in their auto section called "HELP", i put some JB weld on them just before screwing them into the old holes, let sit over night, haven't had an issue with it so far and its been about 2-3 weeks since i put my raised wing on.
just curious, are those mini sides from diessel in edmonton? i was supposed to meet with him a few weeks back but he had to cancel on me and haven't heard a word since =\

I picked up the spoiler and sides from him. We met in red deer. He's a great guy. No issues at all.
Thanks for the pointers on the spoiler. I found another hatch garnish in my garage.. I'll see how the painting goes, with the garnish connected. Hopefully will have everything painted after work today.

Masking the spoiler worked out great. The car needs a wash before installation.. Here is the finished product. All done with a ~$40 gun from ballmart

What kind of set up did you use for painting? You said 40 dollar walmart gun... very interested in this. What size compressor and all of that? PM me if you would, please

I use a standard 13 gallon Husky comp and here is a pic of my gun. There was an inline filter before the gun as well. The tiny bit of paint was worth over $100. Paint, reducer.. clear and hardener were supplied by a local body shop supply company.

i was thinking the exact same thing... although, i'm not sure I believe the badge - looks like that spray gun actually has some metal in it... Surely Hyundai can't have used metal...?
Looks like a top spray job, though - i'm looking forward to seeing pics once re-installed. Awesome colour, too - I really wanted my car to be that colour!

I threw my back out when I was 18, 12 years later and I still have issues leaning over the engine. It was really needed in order to fulfill the mx passion.
