A quick correction on my engine type;
It is a B6ZE
Car was also manufactured in Hiroshima, Japan. I thought that was kinda cool.

Shoot, I don't even know. I thought it was a B6DE until I went to talk to the guy who is doing my rebuild. He tried looking at the ECU but the labels were faded. He then popped the hood and told me it was a B6ZE. He specializes in Japanese Imports and has been in business since 1977. His rep is top notch and I know two guys that have had imports rebuilt by him so I guess I'm kinda taking his word based on the evidence I have.
I will say; I'm not too familiar with Imports... I mean, allot more now than I was before for sure but I'm still a noob when it comes to JDM 4-Bangers. One thing I know for certain; the car gets up and moves quick for only having 107 HP. Now either there are some real weak drivers in Texas pushing these Civics or my car is putting out more than 107 HP.
The block I got from the wrecking yard is without a doubt a B6DE and until I start pulling my car apart I really don't know how else to tell what it is. At any rate, I have 2 motors. One sitting at a friends house waiting for the funds to be built and the one under the hood. If it turns out that my daily-driver is in fact a B6ZE then I'm sure not going to replace it with a B6DE.

Yes! Looking good. Nice to see the parts being put to use. What kind of paint did you use/how did you paint it?

Another thing I know for certain...
That's the only look of a B6ZE that the internet will pull up and mine don't look like that.
I wish Mazda would have stamped the dang block in plain site so I could see it right in front of me without having to take a bunch of crap apart. Just dont have that kind of time.
