Dude same thing happened to me two years ago. Parked inside parking garage too. They tried to pry the door handle, but i guess got fed up and busted the driverside window and took the crappy stereo that i just picked up for $100. It was cool cause the deductable was $300, got a rental for a few days (although it was only a Cavilier) and the insurence company gave me $500 to replace the deck. I guess it turned out ok so then I moved out of that hell hole building in North York and moved to a house in Markham.

Sucks donet... A couple of weeks ago someone destroyed my 01 Prelude. In a paid parking lot down in Buckhead. The car "was" a finnished project. They busted out all my windows, stole my c/a intake, Side marker lenses, 2 15's w/ amp, busted out my headlights, put a crack in every piece of my kit and keyed it to the metal up and down both sides of the car and my carbonfiber hood. You think your mad!! I just stood in front of the damn thing and laughed for about 20 minutes to keep myself from either crying of killing the first person I saw. :D Gotta love State Farm.

I guess the phrase I am looking for is "People hate what they can't immitate"

Luckily, this has never happened to me but a few weeks ago my little brother's really nice Alpine deck was stolen out of his Mazda B4000, it was parked in front of our house and some bastard broke into it in the middle of the night, they got the neighbor's stereo too. Oh well, sh*t happens I guess. Too bad we are not in South Africa though, they are allowed to booby trap their cars there. I saw a show about it and one guy had a flame thrower under the drivers door of his BMW, if anyone tried to break in they would be instantly torched! I think that would make theives think twice before breaking into other people's cars. :D
