How to make an MX-3 run like crap....

Well im officially pissed. And this is probly going to be my last post because i might not ever see my MX-3 again. My sister decided to act rite and i had to give up the car. Well shes gonna tear it up or either wreck it. And she owes me money for working on it and she refuses to pay. So i got the "brainiac" idea to try to make the car run bad. I already know that the GND and TEN jumper wire will make it idle REALLY low and might cut off. But is there something i can disconnect that will make this thing so slow she will really have to pay me to fix it? lol im also gonna disconnect the o2 so she will pay the big bucks on gas.

close the throttle all the way, it'll stall the engine and go nowhere

Remove a plug wire, pinch the fuel line, block the thermostat, etc.


Best idea...unplug the MAF

It depends on how far you want to go..

I would try regapping the spark plugs to something extremely low. Basically it will be trial and error. Just do it to the point the motor barely runs.

Also chaning the set of motormounts to ones that and broken will make the car feel like it runs really rough.

well i assume you want this done without her seeing you do it, this way she thinks it needs to be fixed, also you probably want whatever you do to be reversable and cause no damage...
this way he can spend the money to fix the real problems...

the closing the throttle body will choke the engine, unpluging the MAF will do the same pretty much, either way, easy to fix no problem solutions

Don't mess with the thermostat, I'm presuming you'd like the engine to not get blown in the process. Oh, BTW, was that your sister in your sig on your old posts?
throttle, or unplug MAF, good ideas. You could also stick open the EGR valve, even just a little, the engine won't idle, plus this is one thing you can't really see when looking under the hood, like the MAF idea.
