bought turbo! but ain't working!

Post by damian »

hey guys.... I just bought a turbo kit for my 94 mx-3. I installed it but I think I did something wrong because I can't feel the difference.
It's an electric turbo kit I got of e-bay and paid almost $200 so it better work soon. What did I do wrong? all the wires seems to be okay. help please....

put it up for sale on ebay. save your money and put it towards an actual turbo setup if that's what you want. when you try to go the cheap route, you get cheap results. sorry you had to find out the hard way.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

It never ceases to amaze me that not only are there people out there selling this crap, but there are people who are STILL gullible enuf to pay for it,... Dude, I'd say you deserve it coz ignorance is no excuse but $200 for a $20 bilge blower is bullsh!t.
Look on Ebays FAQ pages under fraud. Better yet write to them about it. In the past I have heard of people getting bad parts or things that were, listen closely, falsely advertised. The seller will be required to refund you your money once you send the part back. Now Ebay cant make them do it, but Ebay can & will prosecute sellers under thier local fraud laws for blatantly misleading the buyer.
Before you do that tho, goto www.westmarine.com & do a search on blowers & fans. See if there's a pic of the same part. then you have irrevokable evedence of fraud.

There's NO such thing as an electric blower, dont fall for it, dont let your friends fall for it. Tornadoes are total sh!t too.
But hey, there's always those couple boners in every town that think they are the sh!t in thier cookie cutter Honduhs,... Recommend it to them! lol

Kinda off topic but.....I read a tidbit at www.boosthead.com about TKT them venturing into the electric supercharger, only it's made of CNC machined billet alluminum not plastic, uses it's own independant power supply, and the charge only lasts for about 12-15 seconds 10 times or so at WOT before the battery needs charging. A 12 sec. burst just plain sucks *** . It's like NOS but you recharge a battery instead of filling a bottle. I'm following it out of curiosity to see what their test claims are.
I think that even the best of us have tried to improve the performance or appearance of our vehicles cheaply with poor or no results only to end up coughing up the cash for the real deal and in the long run spending more. I myself have....well not like this.....but I attempted a few times to make my own brackets for my racing seats only to get so fed up that I finally forked out the dough to get a shop to make them. It cost me more than if I had of just got the shop to do it in the first place. Turns out I had the wrong sliders for the seats. Okay this is a bad example, but my point is we all make mistakes in the quest for thrifty mods. Some mistakes are just way way way more stupid than others.
[ July 08, 2003: Message edited by: Darren Hyderman ]
