Need help replacing lift supports.
Kind of embarrassing, but I can't put on the new trunk lift supports I bought. They're the Stabilus lift-o-mat SG127003, and they don't have the same connections the OEM do. Every site I check says they're the right ones, but then why the hell are they not the same as the old ones? I took the old ones out of the car to work on them without a trunk lid falling on my head, but really, there is no way they are simple plug and plays. Has anyone had any experience with Stabilus? I can't get the ball out of the old socket on the top of the strut, and I can't connect the new ones onto the old parts. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

lol maybe the website thought you ment MAZDA3 struts instead of MX3. Thats happened to me with parts a few times. Theres no way if they claim there for a MX3 you should have this much trouble. Im thinking you got mazda3 struts
