I got these for a second build that I was going to do but the car fell through.
I am putting them up for sale for what I have into them. 475 plus shipping. They are from a first gen probe and would be great for the probe 5lug hub swap.
Hmm? What kind of modification is needed? A grinding of the strut to knuckle bolt bores?

Secondly one of the top bolts on the rear strut needs to be removed in order for it to bolt up into the mx3 struttower as we only have two bolt holes.
This is what I was planning on doing.
I wonder if the rear can safely and properly work like the original strut in that case, interesting stuff and they're cheaper then the MX-3 ones on ebay.
GLWS Aaron.

Hmmmmm....you and me might be talking soon then my friend, I need to just do a bit of research first.

Mooneggs wrote:What about the rear lower mounting points? Do those directly bolt up to the MX-3 spindle without issue and did you test fit them?

I think thats what Aaron means, this is pretty much perfect for anyone looking to do a 5 lug. If I wasn't still on the fence about doing a rear disc install I would pick these up.

Mooneggs wrote:All I know is I tried to fit a set of K-sports that weren't made for the mx-3 and the rears were way off (so much that they couldn't be modified).
Just trying to find out if he actually test fitted them or not and if all they need is the extra washers and the removal of the extra stud.
Or something much more...
I think you tried a much later model proteges right? Might be that that's why you were so off.
I think the top bolt he mentioned was cut off by dansxr2 by the looks of it and he's still rocking it now, although he has the right hubs in the back unlike us with the MX-3 hubs.
I'm so conflicted right now, this would make a 5 lug swap pretty easy....

I will look for a better writeup on these. I believe that all you have to do on these is remove one of the three strut tower bolts on the rear coilovers. I'll hold them up to my mx-3 tomorrow to verify this.
We all want to be fast and look cool. Cool changes but fast never does.
theres a right up on clubprotege somewhere in the BG chassie section if anyone wants to look at it i tryed looking for it but cant seem to find it.. GLWS even tho it seems there sold
