Ha, ya right...
if im right? your laughing at the redline number? its ment as 8200 is max redline instead of 8000 like the k8.

Ryan and Dan, noperz havent touch the motor with anything other then new valve cover gaskets, disty, belts, water pump. but i was also very surprised of how clean it was, i lucked out i think lol.. website where i went were A++, gave 1 year warranty on the internals+heads and sent a info sheet with the motor of what it came out of, how many km's/miles were on the dial, and all the code's that r stamped all over the motor and a bunch more giberish in Japanese.

WTF you talking about. The gauge cluster goes to 8K, the K8 and KL have a 7000rpm redline (see where the actual red line is?), but the K8ZE had a 7500 redline, that's it. Redline may be 7000, but the limiter is set to 7500 and a fuel cut-off at 7800.

Don't rev it past 7000 unless you want to replace the nice little motor of yours in the near future...

Defiantly for an 8200 red line you would have had to change the stock valve springs. i had to buy titanium valve springs for my BP to get it to rev up to 8200rpm really i can go to 85K but my cams will make peak power at 82K so no point.

Not saying that you couldn't but you would float a valve for sure. especially with the issues that ZE's already have. Is that what the place that you got your motor from said?

yah i tried that john, its said i needed an internet connection. i didnt get the email and all that jazz with my phone. and plus my phone ended up in a nice pail of anti freeze last night, so all i got for pictures is whats on here. :( no they didnt have it listed, only everything else.. i just assumed it was 8200 cause of seeing how people drive them, everyone i know pulls em to 7200.. but i guess that isnt good for them.. thanks for the tips eh.
