Something draining battery :S

Post by Mariob316 »

Ok, so someone hit my car this weekend, nothing major just really scratched and broke driver side front marker plastic.
Anyways, since then my car battery dies overnight and the left blinker (the one that broke) blinks fast (the bulb is still good)
But when i put my flasher left it doesnt flash, the back one does tho (really fast). Also when i put my right flasher on, the left one stays on :S

And one more thing, the side marker (beside the wheel) doesnt go on but when i lock my doors, all the lights go on including the side marker.

It sounds like two wires/contacts were pushed together during the accident. The fast blink is caused by incorrect resistance in the circuit, but usually by too-high resistance, not a short. So perhaps not.

Take out the electrical components in the region and inspect them for damage. The signal assembly has a double filament bulb in it, one for the running lights, and then the other one flashes. If those contacts got crossed at all, it will wreak all sorts of havoc.
