The internal combustion engine will be your best bet.

Do what you like, its your car. B and K series engines fit. Money is your limiting factor, as always.

You should switch to manual for sure.
I agree that we need more info in order to give opinions about a swap.

300 hp?
Sure, can be done.

see the worklogs. Mi|<E's worklog is a good place to start. He put in a BP, added forged internals, stand alone ems, G series tranny with a Mazdaspeed LSD... the turbo goodies should be going in soon. Most of what you could ever need to know will be found in those pages. Take your time and read through it. Aslo see Lime Green's posts. It'll take plenty of cash and much work.

Keep in mind that with 300hp, you'll pretty much need to go to a standalone ems.

there is no turbo kit for the b6. You'll need the G series tranny if you make big power. The b6 can do over 200 in stock form with a good tune. This is not cheap or easy. start reading and saving now.

The best and most cost effective way is to swap in a BP then add the turbo. I can only help so much. Please look in the FAQ's there is full swap guide and donor lists. Did you check out the worklogs yet?
