Decisions Decisions...
I hate to bring up another projector thread
having completely missed the spyder auto group buy due to my tranny giving out
i now have a decision to make:
spyder projectors(LEDs running horizontally on the inside) or ebay projectors (LEDs running vertically on the outside)
i came across two different spyder projectors on ebay
ones that have the ridges on the side (LEDs light up blue, halos light up white)
and ones that are smooth on the side (LEDs light up white, halos light up white as well).. so whats up with that?
there are also 2 types of ebay projectors
ones that have white LEDs and blue halos
and ones that have blue LEDs and white halos...
the back on each one is also different.
does this mean there are now 4 different companies producing 4 different projectors for the mx3? if so will the wiring be different? and how about the build quality?
just when i thought it was gonna be tough to choose between 2 different types
2 more pop outta nowhere...
maybe someone can clarify.

Re: Decisions Decisions...
it would be cool if you had links to each of these 4 different styles specifically...

Re: Decisions Decisions...
I think the halo's of the spyder types look better. I am not using the LEDs because I think they are tacky. I don't really 100% like the look of the projectors, but I think they look slightly better than the vertical LED style. If you want to use the LEDs, I'd suggest the vertical type.
I've never seen a "smoothed" edge spyder one, but I would like that more than the ridged one I have!

I'm cutting out that ribbed part to put in an LED turn signal.

Re: Decisions Decisions...
Take a close look at those last ones, to me it looks like there are ridges just like the one above it, however there is a glare on the outside that makes it look smooth.

Re: Decisions Decisions...
thanks for posting the variations... I'm in agreement with Ryan about the ribs and I think spyder 1 and 2 are identical (except for the LED color)...
I'm also wondering if maybe it's the way the photos are taken that cause the LED's to look blue or white? I know I've taken pics of my LED's before and sometimes they look white... other times they have a bluish tint...
