speedo drive

can someone tell me if the cable speedo will fit in with the electric one and are the dials different???



also gear selector are the 1.6 ones and the v6 ones the same or not, as everything is almost done on my swap

As long as your speedo gear/cable are both digital or both mechanical, they should interchange. The problem you will run into is that the cable will not plug into the back of the cluster. Your cable/sensor and cluster must match.

speedo cable?isnt it electronic??

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

No, there are both mechanical and electric speedo cables/clusters. If all the plugs on the back of your cluster are similar (20-ish pin?) then you're digital. If you have a big round one in the centre, its mechanical. I'm not sure if the cable itself in the engine bay is visually different. All I know is my mechanical one is very rigid.

Any G series should be digital. My F5MR is is mechanical, and I'm quite sure somewhere in 1994 they moved over to digital in the 4 cyls (F25MR)...

No GS's use a speedo cable, it's all electronic. The only one that uses a speedocable would be the 92-93RS

Yeah, I know. All G's are digi. No GS ever came with an F.


But he said its mechanical, so he needs a 92-93 RS cluster.
