Found a klze, need some tips.

Post by tmac4t4 »

so ive found that diamond in the dirt ive been looking for..1993 pgt with a fresh klze, stage 2 clutch, headers/exhaust, lowering springs, leather..it was a car my buddy had been dumping all of his money into about 3 years ago ( well over 5 g's) and it never really made it on the road and its been sitting ever since..long story short, i will most likley be getting it for around 500 bucks...im just wondering what all i can take off the car that would work on the mx...i plan on taking the engine/trans/ecu/exhaust/springs so far, i dont think i want to put the grey leather seats in the mx :| ..would i be able to salvage the cv axels aswell? since mine are on their way out.

What year is your MX3 and what year is the PGT. I don't the ECU is workable but the other stuff is. I don't think much of the suspension is useable. My MX6 has all different parts than my MX-3s. Sounds like your getting a good deal. Cheers

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

my car is a 94, and the probe is a 93..stock ecu in the probe.. after he had did the swap he was having troubles getting it to idle, it wanted to stall out unless u kept the rev's up, but it still ran very strong....

also has anybody heard of someone dropping a k8 into a probe,,now before you go "why the hell would you wana do that" just know it wouldnt be myself doing the swap as i dont see it worthwhile, but a freind of mine is interested to see if it would work, since i may give him whatever leftover parts i dont want for lettin me use his garage.

There's a Post on installing a K8 in a probe. No reason why it wouldn't work but the car would be sloooower than with the KLDE

The springs won't work there different, the ECU will work depending on the numbers I think.... the exhaust is also different somewhat... And the K8 will drop right in just like the DE drops into ours... I seen it once at a junkers and started laughing cause someone clearlly got scammed for having a new engine in there car and it was the 1.8! ahaha
