deleting cooling line on pwer steering....

deleting cooling line on pwer steering....
so there is a line that comes infront of the ac condensor infront of everything..... it kinda makes a u turn and goes back in... its for power steering... well i had to cut that line and im not too sure how much pressure that line was under... it looks like it was made of copper .... the point is i cut it but i still want my power steering therefore my question is, would a steel braided hose hold the pressure, has anyone done this before?
