Re: Need help making my audio system
You'll look for an amp that can run 2 ohm mono, and that produces the power that you want (roughly 500-600 watts RMS @ 2 ohms).
Positive from amp to positive on both subs. Negative from amp to negative on boths subs.
Parallel wiring at 2 ohms.

If you get a mono amp it will have to be 1 Ohm stable if you decide to put both subs in parrallel.
Or if you want you can put them in series they will be at 4 Ohms, which is fine.
Or you can get 2 mono amps and run each sub independently at 2 ohms.

Also... If you don't care about being to specific on your wiring... Buy a Amp Wiring Kit.

The subs are each single 4 ohm voice coils. The amp will see 2 ohms if they are run in parallel, not 1 ohm. Connected in series, the amp would see 8 ohms.mr1in6billion wrote:If you get a mono amp it will have to be 1 Ohm stable if you decide to put both subs in parrallel.

ah... you are correct. I saw the word 'dual' in there and thought it referred to the coils.umcamara wrote:The subs are each single 4 ohm voice coils.
