The expense really wasn't that bad. For $60 I bought the two oval shaped break lights, and the marker lights were maybe $5.99 each at most. Overall the biggest expense was time! lol. To answer your question about light output, my LED tails are wayyyyy brighter than stock. I press the break and light up street signs 3 blocks away lol. I'm thinking of making another set of LED tails. All I need is a clear lense from a set of Altezza's. I just can't be bothered to buy Altezza's just to take them apart. If someone on this board were to sell them to me cheap, and preferrably locally, I would start my new LED project.s1zzl3 wrote:right urbanconcept ur the one wit the Grabber Orange MX3Urbanconcept wrote:True true, but at this point I'm so tired of working on the car lol. I'm just going to enjoy it for now. And plus I'm a bit concerned about visibility during the day for my brake lights, so having the stock third brake light ensures I keep some visibility. (I never drive behind myself so I have no idea how visible my LED tails are lol).Mooneggs wrote: Urbanconcept, now all you need to do is update your third brake light with some LED's to match your tail lights!![]()
yeh ive seen pics of it, nicely done tails
prob took alot of time to get them looking that perfect
i was gonna try doing sumthin like that but it would take so much patience and skill not to mention $$$
arent the LEDs brighter then stock bulbs?
mine used to be a streetglow LED that i had in my car mounted on the roof
it pulsed to the bass but i got tierd of it so i converted it to a third brake light lol
I've got a set of Altezzas with a little bit of damage that I'm willing to sell really cheap. The problem is the driver's side brake lens (solid red, innermost circle) is a bit melted near the top. As a result, it caved in a little bit and looks foggy. If you wouldn't be using that part, I'd be willing to sell them to you for like... $40 including the shipping (I don't want them on my car, otherwise I'd just replace the lens myself).Urbanconcept wrote:If someone on this board were to sell them to me cheap, and preferrably locally, I would start my new LED project.
