Removing the Airbags?
How would I go about deinstalling the airbags in a 94-95 MX-3?
They are in my parts car and I would like to take them out.
I dont want them to blow up in my face while removing them!

Seriously its not that hard. Discount the battery, wait acouple minutes then just unplug them. If theres no power, then theres no chance of them going off.

That actually could be a lot of fun - i thought really hard about that when i was removing airbag from my parts car -ccreech wrote:Hook a battery up...hit the sensor with a hammer... then un-do all the bolts holding it in.Sorry, I could't resist.
But seriously - no battery - no electronic trigger....

The one on the passenger side is removable by undoing mounting bolts from under the dash (4 bolts I think). Hafta remove the glove box to reach the bolts. That would be after you've d/c'd the negative batt cable and diagnostic connectors. The pass airbag unit will lift out once those bolts are removed.
