KLZE long neck with NOS WHO ???
KLZE long neck with NOS WHO ???
Why i post this topic is because after blowing up my K8, i did a swap for a KLZE long neck, it's a high compression engine, but today i came after that NOS isn't working on this engine, when i boost it's just like n2o and fuel is not injected in the cilinders, it comes out at the exhaust like a machine gun ;-(
WHO CAN HELP ME OUT OF THIS ?

lol dayum.. well you need to change yer timing and fuel pressure.. its not just bolt on for the ze..also you may want to lower the no2 shot. dayum shooting via the exhaust ive never seen that :O what manmagement system are u using if any? got cold plugs?

I am the friend of Mashamoto, http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.ph ... 64686b0f29
I have been runing a 100 shot on the ze for about 2 years now and have never had a problem, I have looked at Mashas set up and all I can do is scratch my head. I have installed Nos on a lot of mx3s here in Holland and this is the first Ze thats giving problems. The Nos set up is correct, we have tested the delivery of fuel to the fogger aswell as the Nitrous and we get a nice mist every time. Originally the fogger was installed a bit too close to the throttle valve so this was place at the standrad 6 - 8 inches from the TB, but still the car just makes gurgling sound will undr boost. A Walbro 255 was installed and still, no results.........more head scratching and I am out of ideas...hope some one here can give us a tip.

Hey Pat thanks for the reply mate, but Masha and I are runing same injectors and same iridium cold plugs. The only difference between masha and me is the intake manifold, higher compression and he had the egr system (now disconnected) its like the engine detects when its been boosted and goes into a sort of limp mode, but can figure out which sensor would do this.

Nice AM look.
Like I said you need a colder plug b/c of the higher compression ratio. You might have a lean condition due to the higher compression and it IS putting the car in limp mode when you spray b/c it is detecting knock. The higher compression ratio the higher octane you need or less ignition advance you will need in order to stave off knock or preignition with N2O. So with the higher compression you need a colder plug and less advanced timing. Stock timing advance is 10* advance, you might try 5* to start and work back up until the problem arises again and then go back a few degrees to be safe.
On that note it could also be a faulty knock sensor. The plugs are cheaper and easier to install so I'd try that first. You could have a poor fuel pressure regulator, bad or going out fuel filter, a crappy injector or two or any number of other problems. The answer is that it does sound like the car is going into limp mode when you spray so you need to diagnose which part of the car is causing the issue. All the above are obvios things to check, but I'd start with a colder plug and timing since the rest requires testing which can be tricky and difficult if you don't know what you are doing.

Well guys, after searching and searching we finally solved the problem, we did a ecu swap, i am using the KL05 ecu which is used by the mx-6 normally, and install a klze performance chip in it, this chip takes aout the rpm limit and top speed limit, and i am using the KL02 VAF instead of the JE50, i did a nitrous boost last week and it works great, i am boosting with 50 hp shot and i think i having around 260 hp with about 320nm torque, i am very happy with the results and will try on the 1/4 mile soon.
cheers

Glad you found the problem. I am suprised that was the fix though. Good luck at the track and if you get a chance go to the dyno and tell us what HP it really has.
