clear coating over vinyle graphics??

Does anyone know if clear coat will staick to vinyle graphics on a car??

i sure hope not, then the uglyness of vinal will be on there forever

yes you can. my ZX10 came from the factory with Kawi Vynals cleared on the tank.

I would adivse against it b/c the vinyl wiull fade much quicker than the paint and then you cannot get them off without having to repaint the car. So if you want to replace them or change them or get tired of them or need to sell your car you are stuck.

vinyl needs to breathe. Clear coat will block pores in it, so Im not sure how long it'll last

I'd say if you're going to leave the graphics on, just tape them of then clear coat your car :shrug:
