18" rims, 215/35/R18 tires

Post by Prdy »

Anyone here has 18" rims on his mx3 ? I'm decided to go for them and I'm interested in photos and info from theirs owners. I've read some pros and cons on the site, but no thread is speaking directly about 18"

So please don't repeat any information already posted for ex. in faq, but if you have nice photos of mx3's with 18's, or really personal experience with them, post it please.

18's look way to big on a mx3. I hope there is no bumps in the road where you live cause you will bend/crack those big wheels very easily.

I am going to wait for the nice weather throw on those bad boys but yeah I am worried about beding one. I am practicing dodging putholes and manhole covers right now lol...pics soon to come

I would not recommend that you go any larger than a 215 so a 7-7.5" rim (I think) Would be sufficient.

ive just put 18" Wolfrace Ikon's on my MX an they look damn sweet, could do with a lowering now tho mind, i wouldnt say that the ride is harsh an im driving round on some of the crappest roads you could imagine over here. Im running 215/35/ZR18 Toyo Proxes T1-S tires an road noise isnt any different to when i was running my 17s, ill get a pic up when i can.

looks damn fine IMHO

:D:D:D

Geeze can you get any less rubber there?

like comon, a little bit of gravel and you got a flat tire.

not to mention looks a lil bit

Dont get me wrong, i like the rims, there just too big

I think it's a case of if you haven't got anything good to say then don't say anything! People were aking to see a picture of an mx3 on 18's so thats what you got...and as for the lowering...if you read my previous post it says thats what I plan to do and that I am searching for adjustable coilovers!

I think 17's look ridiculous, let alone 18's. 18's are ghetto looking. Might as well do that Mexican thing where you put 13" rims with little wheels and a 6" spacer pushing the wheel out the wheel well.

If you get 18's, you might as well start cuing up the Mariachi music.
