im assuming you haven't put caps or coils on any of your speakers, you should set your X-over (frequency dial) somewhere around 400-500hz just a rough guess tho, you will have to play around with it untill it sounds good,

As for your gain controlls, to set it up properly turn your radio on but turned all the way down. go to your amp and turn up the gain controlls untill you hear fuzzing or any noize. then turn it back down just untill that noise goes away.

Try listing to some music, if the bass is to loud, turn it down a little. but not much. if your getting too much bass only on the higher bass notes then turn down your x-over (frequency dial) keep trying this untill you get it right...

blue doesnt allways mean its the remote wire, on some clarion head units its a speaker wire.

i never said it was always the blue wire, but for after market decks, 90% of the time it is true. it's pretty easy to tell because speaker wires are always paired, red is always gonna be power, black always ground, then your left with switched power and rem as the standard wires for a deck. besides, that's why we have the internet to verify this stuff. :D
