Ok little help here

Post by soulja »

I have two mx-3's sitting in my driveway
sadly I think they are about to hit the salvage yard. Question is what would make more money..salavage yard or parting it out

car 1 (1992 GS) runs GREAT..just didnt pass the e-test (burns oil)
car 2 (1993 GS) also runs great...except it doesnt idle right.

I gave up trying to get ethier car working, im just trying to figure out which way out is more profitable..lemme know! :P

If you dont want to fix either of them, then I'd part them out. You can definantly make more money that way. Where in Ontario are you??

id say part em out. junk yards here only give ya about 75 bucks for cars. if ya dont feel like parting them out, The teen challenge farm will come take them away and give you a reciet for a charitable donation. good tax write off. A few yrs back I gave them a 1990 dodge colt 200, paid 400 for the car saftey and etested, had it for the winter, then blew up the engine. they gave me a tax reciet for 500 bucks........

I'd say sell the cars as whole, they sound like prime candidates for motor swaps. Parting them out will be a pain in the a--, I don't know what shape they are in, but they run so you should be able to get at least $1500.... people ask more for a mx3 with a blown motor out west here...
