Is this normal for a tint....?
Is this normal for a tint....?
I had my hatch and sides professionally tinted a week ago. My sides look perfectly fine, but the view through my hatch now seems kinda blurry. It's not like there's a large air bubble or anything like that, but looking through the window or in the rear-view mirror, the view seems out of focus. If you wear glasses, it's kinda like if you have an oily film on the lens if you've been rubbing them with your finger. I don't know if that description makes any sense, but for those of you who have had their windows tinted, does this sound at all familiar/normal?? Like I said, it's been a week so I thought the blurriness would go away over time, and perhaps it has, a little bit, but it's still there. Should I just give it more time to "dry" or whatever???

You probably were told this but don't use any chemical type cleaners on the tint as it does wreck it over time. Use soap and water to clean the tint. Maybe you have some soap staining from the installer and haven't got it off yet..I don't know.

94 GS, Green Envy Pearl QUESTION: Does my car fit the RICE category?
I wonder if this: http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.ph ... highlight= ....has anything to do with my question at hand? I remembered this thread from several months ago about a "blurriness" of some sort. Although, with mine, I've never noticed such a blur until after I put the tint on. Could the tint have somehow amplified the effect or is it really that there's a problem with the tint after all???
