automatic lights?
automatic lights?
is there a way to rig up the headlights to come on automatically when it gets dark? seems like it'd only be matter of installing some kind of sensor, but i don't know much about it...
it'd feel a lil more luxurious though

fair enough, and i wouldn't hold that against you... but you seem to have the wrong spirit of things.
why have power windows -- too lazy to crank that knob a few times? what're power locks for, why can't you just reach across?
in all honesty, since it's so valued, convenient things are luxuries, sure. so's a car, for that matter.
as for the mx-3 not being a luxury car... well i guess i'll strip out those leathers i was lucky enough to source, and scrap my sound deadening project. i wouldn't want my interior sounding like the inside of a lexus or anything...
incidentally i misspoke myself to even mention high end cars, since the majority of cars, high end or no, DO have auto lamps. plus i mean.. an rx-8 is running about 27g's brand new. we're not talkin about jaguars here...
you just took the worst possible interpretation of what i was asking could be done... apparently i wasn't the only one who thought that was a bad attitude. but hey, you were just being honest.

All you' d need is a 12V photo electric switch and a relay so the cost wouldn't be a lot. The wiring would be quite straightforward. I think you'd also need to consider a switch so you could turn the lights off if you needed to. You'd just need to pick up a power supply thats only on when the ignition is on and power up the headlight relay. You'd also need to power up the taillights so this is where you'd need the relay.
