Depending when you want the LEDs to come on depends where to best pick up power. Did you want them to come on with the dash lights or via a switch? let me know and I'll see if I can help you through it.

Ok the best place to pick up a power supply then is at the back of the dimmer. The dimmer will come out from the front, you don't have to undo anything from under the dash - be careful with it that you don't drop any parts when you pop it out.

Are the wires that come from the LEDs labelled for + and ground? If you know which one is which, you need to connect to:
The ground from the LEDs to the BLACK wire on the dimmer;
The positive from the LEDs to the RED / BLACK wire on the dimmer.

Don't connect anything to the RED wire on the dimmer.

I can't remember what type of connections there are on the dimmer, theres plenty of people who have picked up power fror various things there so someone could add that info - save me going and pulling out my dimmer to check. :D But you can always solder the joins anyway.

This way the LEDs will come on with the dash lights. If you want to be able to turn them off for any reason, just put a switch in the + wire between the LEDs and the dimmer switch.

Hope that helps.
