Body Damage

Post by badkitty2005 »

I have a 1993 Mx-3, got into an accident and am curious is it true that it is a uni-body??? Is there a way to fix damage that is done to side panels??? Please Help don't know what to do about it to get it up and running.

Yes the MX-3 is unibody.. infact.. almost all passenger cars produced since the early 1970's are unibody.. As for replacing side panels.. depends on how badly they are damaged.. if the impact was a true T bone at above 20mph.. it probably damaged the unibody subframe and is beyond (or not even close to cost effective) repair. If its just a side swipe.. likely they can be repaired without issue. Take some pics and post them up here.. there are more than a few body guys around here that could make a fairly sound judgement on how bad off the car really is. Hope this helps.

If it looks anything like the passenger door on mine, you're probably SOL too.
