FS: Brand New OEM Leather Seats

You read right. I'm about to place an order with Mazda Motorsports for some new leather seats and since shiping is going to rape me I might as well ask if anyone else here wants some & split the shipping difference.

You aren't bidding on complete replacements. There are a couple of variations you can choose from.

First of all, understand that there are 8 different part #'s for the front seats. There is the Drivers cushion, Drivers seatback, Passenger cushion, Passenger seatback. Then there are JUST the covers for all 4 of those parts. Unfortunately the only parts in stock are the drivers cushion, drivers seatback, passenger seatback, drivers cushion cover & drivers seatback cover. No passenger cushion, no passenger seatback cover or passenger cushion cover.

According to a friend I know on the protege board, you can use the drivers cushion cover on the passenger side cover as the shapes are identical. Only difference is, there is a little cutout for the seatback lever on the left of the cover that would expose the foam on the passenger cushion. He said to remedy this, just simply cut a piece of your old seatcover's vinyl off and cover it, you can't notice it b/c of the center console.

Since the inventory is very low on these peices, there are only technically 5 "full" sets available. Since me & john are alraedy buying a set, that leaves the remaining three sets as follows:

Set 1-3 will be: new drivers cushion, new drivers seatback, new passenger seatback & drivers cushion cover to cover existing passenger cushion
Set 4: new drivers cushion, new drivers seatback cover (to cover existing drivers seatback), new passenger seatback, new drivers cushion cover (to cover existing passenger cushion)
Set 5: new drivers cushion, new drivers seatback cover (to cover existing drivers AND passengers seatback) X 2, new drivers cushion cover (to cover existing passenger cushion). So you'd basically have to eliminate your map pocket since you are using two seatback covers.

Prices:
These are the prices for the various peices on the website

Drivers Cushion: $62.88
Drivers Seatback: $73.85
Drivers Cushion Cover (which can cover either cushion): $36.24
Drivers Seatback Cover (which i guess could cover either seatback): $45.41
Passenger Seatback: $76.37

So, the pricing would be as follows:
Set 3: $246.34
Set 4: $220.90
Set 5: $189.94

Shipping costs aren't included in these prices. I'd guesstimate them to be $30-60 on top of the prices above.

Who would be interested? I want to order this stuff soon.

damn, if I didn't blow all my cash on that suspension setup i'd be all over it. Guess I gotta wait, suspension is more important than seats when you got a BP swap in your near future, lol

I am afraid I do not onderstand the sets you have assembled, but I am in for any set containing at least 2 seatback covers and 2 cushion covers. (preferably no cushions or seatbacks at all because of shipping to europe.)

the trailing links are a LOT of money dood. & the engine mounts are like 90 dollars each! I dunno why but they raised the price on the mounts as of late. I checked earlier in the winter and they were like 70-80, now they are 90.

Sux b/c I need them too. My mounts are torn and the poly filling didn't work out as wel as I was hoping.

I alraedy placed the order but I can still add stuff to it. They are determining the shipping price and whether they need to ship my order via freight (200-300 dollars they said) or UPS.

So far i've ordered 2 complete sets (one for me & one for john). And a set of 4 drivers cushion & seatback covers (you can use them on either side).

I haven't added any additional cushions b/c I don't want teh shipping to become ridiculously high from them to me. So unless I have people genuinely interested, my order will stay the same.

ok I got a couple PM's from confuzzled ppl so I guess I"ll try to explain this again.

First of all, these ONLY come in 92-93 style seats. If you have 94+ seats you'll have to find yourself some junked 92-93 styles.

Secondly, I already placed the order. I didn't see that much response so I went ahead with the order.

I ordered:

2 passenger seatbacks
2 drivers seatbacks
2 drivers cushions
6 drivers cushion covers
4 drivers seatback covers

This meaning I have 16 components on order total meaning 4 complete sets of seats.

Two of the seats include brand new seatbacks w/leather preinstalled & brand new DRIVERS cushion w/leather preinstalled and an additoinal drivers leather cover that you will have to install onto the passenger cushion. THESE TWO SETS ARE SPOKEN FOR! John & Me are getting these.

The other two sets are just simply covers and no cushions. I bought basically 4 sets of covers for the Drivers seat. You can put the covers on either side however making this 2 sets of 2 pairs of covers. You WILL NOT have a map pocket on the passenger seat any longer w/these covers, so just be advised.

I didn't order additional cushions and seatbacks b/c of their bulk. The shipping is already going to be 200+ dollars USD via a frieight company w/the other stuff I ordered so I just ordered the seat covers.

IF people want the cushions w/covers preinstalled I can order ONLY TWO complete sets later on. I can also order brand new tan or black/red seats as well.

The one picture shows how the seat covers come, just fabric. Also look at the pictures of the black/red seats YES THEY ARE BLACK! Everyone's seats eventually fade to a navy blue color but they are originally black. I can get these for quite a bit less money than these leather ones but I will have to place a seperate order now.

So basically there are a shitload of tan and black/red ones left and only 2 sets of leather ones left.

THe two sets of leather ones would include

1st set: new drivers cushion, new drivers seatback, new passenger seatback, and new drivers cushion cover which you'd have to cover your existing passenger cushion with

2nd set: new drivers cushion, new passenger seatback. and a drivers seatback cover (use ur existing foam seatback) and a drivers seat cushion cover (to cover ur exisitng passenger cushion)

If this doesn't make sense then I don't know what will. IMO i explained it pretty good right there.

Look at those pictures to undestand what the basic peices include. There are 8 diff part numbers for every color variety of front seats from Mazda. NOT ALL of these are in stock for all of the colors. Drivers cushion, Drivers seatback, Passenger cushion, Passenger seatback are 4 seperate part numbers

Drivers cushion cover, drivers seatback cover, passenger cushion cover and passengert seatback cover are the other 4.

Apparently there are laso "rear seat cushions" listed as well as their covers but I don't know what are what...their part numbers are way different & the exact colors are not immediately apparent to me.

BTW: in the pictrures I posted earlier the passenger-side has a junkyard cushion that was recovered with brand new leather seat cover. You can't even tell in the photograph, looks OEM.

So if I ordered set 4, I could cover both of my front seats with leather for 220. + shipping. Is that correct?

How much are the stock fabric covers for the front seats? The rainbow middles with black/blue outsides.
