Maintenance Costs

Hello everyone,

I'm considering buying a mx-3 but I've heard that the maintenance costs and parts are much more expensive than other cars. I don't know if it makes any difference that I'm in Canada (Toronto).

Can anyone comment? I'm not a rich person who can spend 3 times as much as normal on maintenance.

They're not bad at all, actually. Just don't go to Mazda for parts. They wanted $800+ for a front axle. I got one with a lifetime warranty for $105 bucks with core trade in, 150 without. I just got new brakes, and the pads were like 23 bucks and the rotors were 66 each (crossdrilled). Lol half the parts in there are ford anyway.

When you say don't buy Mazda parts, you mean just go to Canadian Tire, etc and get no name parts?
