SCCA guidelines

Post by OsoSlo z28 »

does anybody(jesse...hint hint) know if a non-factory motor w/a turbo will disqualify me from scca and/or other autox sanctions?

Actually it puts you in Street Mod. It's a class that allows Engine swaps and turbo kits, for 4 seaters.
www.streetmodified.org http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/Rules/s ... ed.html

I borrowed/took some camber bolts from my friend Jason that he bought from Mazda Motorsports, so now i have about -1.2 degrees upfront. Still only about a half degree in the rear. Im still saving up for the all new custom strut/coilover setup with the camber/caster plates. Id be closer if i didnt have to worry about a trip to Nationals in Kansas in September.
Umm, there are autocrosses in Jacksonville, Tallahasse, Gainesville, Orlando, Tampa, Palm Bay, Ft. Myers, and Miami.
www.eec.com/racing near the bottom is all the links to all the clubs in florida that hold races.
Instant Message me if you have any more specific questions about the local autocross scene. Id love to see a MX-3 out there. And maybe you and David could be running against each other by next year, each in Street Mod with the motorswaps. That would be AWESOME to see 2 of MX-3s out there.
[ July 05, 2002: Message edited by: ProtegeSTS ]

You're on!! but come to think of it, i myself have never autoxed before, BUT i do have an engine.(i just don't have my stand alone yet, so it's running like garbage :D ) so even though you dont have a motor yet, you still have a chance to win :D
do they have a SM Flinstone bracket?
