Re: Those in Ontario
Technically all of those lights are illegal. Technically most aftermarket stuff is illegal and if a cop pulls you over for something minor, he/she could ticket you for whatever else they find.
Most of the lights are illegal such as, licence plate frames, those little windshield washer fluid dispensing...things on your hood (that i think look extrodinarily cheesey and its a shame if you have these on an mx-3... a damn shame), too blue of headlights and miscolored side markers, tails and indicators, those lights that wrap around your antenna, annnnd the ground affects lighting kits. My brother works for a place that sells all of that stuff and he told me that a good portion of it isnt street legal, that those lights are only meant for "show cars"...legally

Re: Those in Ontario
When I install the lights on MX-3s I cover the outside surface with black electrical tape held every 6" with black plastic ties. This prevents any light showing outside the frame of the car. On the MX-3 there is really only one place to put them, between the rocker edge and the first stiffening rib of the floor. The bulbs are easily visible, but the tape prevents any problems with the Police here in N.S. If you have side skirts this not as much of a problem, but the tape is much cheaper. So far the lights are not illegal here, but there is concern about cop colors.
...does not play well with others.
