final gearing

Post by machambers »

Does anyone know of a source of alternate final drive setups? I'm autocrossing my '94 GS and badly need to get the engine (stock 1.8L) running in its sweetspot at 5k+ RPM. 1st is too low (lots of rev limiter hits, tire abuse), 2nd is too high for most courses (for max acceleration). Tire and wheel combos will only reduce the effective ratio by 12%. (215/45-13 on a rim I'm not sure will fit)
Any ideas? Thanks

you could get a 93-97 Mx-6 LS tranny final drive goes from 4.38(Mx-3) to 4.11(Mx-6) better for freeways and such but not really for your needs. Not really many more options unless you get a custom tranny and in that case get an lsd conversion too. :)
[ July 27, 2003: Message edited by: lazzyie ]
