1 yes clips are $2 at mazda
2 you should have a litte time just dont bang the tranny alot, spider gears on both sides
3 I used no air tools on my swap just a breaker bar and a torque wrench
4 you can tap a new hole in that inlet, or just swap the inlets and do the timing belt/water pump too(i did)
5 you have to unbolt it(3bolts) then pull, do you have a manual? They are VERY helpful
[ January 10, 2003: Message edited by: lazzyie ]

If ur using your same transmission why do you even need to pull it out of the car?

Re: the time is near. More swap help :)
a DE would not require a new clutch IMO. I can see it with a ZE but not the us-spec. I fully plan to leave the tranny in when i do the swap. Of course i have the mx-6 auto tranny so i dont plan to do any further upgrades to the drivetrain to support the new engine. It might be a pain to put the engine in with the tranny in but it beats messing with the axles and potentially damaging the transmission.

I do agree with the idea of changing out those parts though. Other things to keep in mind are the vac lines and hoses. I plan on doin some cleanin while in there too.
Antwan how much did you pay for your engine from noyan? They're literally right down the street from me.
[ January 10, 2003: Message edited by: Sonicxtacy02 ]

too rich for me... Mines comin from AAACO junk yard for 450, 80,000. I'll use that additional 500 to replace what needs to be replaced. Good luck though.

My stock clutch couldn't take 115 ft/lbs, much less 40 more from a 2.5L...
Removing the engine and not the trans is stupid and more work than removing them both.

I used to know alot about MX-3's, but not so much anymore. Oh well.
