How to properly seal phenolic spacers?
I think I found out why my engine won't idle properly with the phenolic spacers.
I tested the seal around the spacers using starting fluid and sure enough they were leaking, mostly at the engine block, but also at the throttle body. I used the Permatex #1B "form a gasket sealant" specified by ...

Re: Help: installed phenolics and engine won't idle
Thanks for the advice. I will try adjusting the TPS as per Rick's advice - Rick, are the TPS adjustments, like the number of turns for the AAS, the same for the 1.8L V6 on the MX-3 as for the 2.5L on the Probe/MX-6? - and I've rechecked all the vacuum lines, electrical connections, I've put the ...

Help: installed phenolics and engine won't idle
I need your help, and badly so since I now have an MX-3 that won't run.
I've just installed the phenolic spacers from Outlaw Engineering and now my engine won't idle. It will start, and I can even drive it (but the check engine light comes on after a couple of minutes of maintaining a steady ...

HELP: Door key lock jams when it gets cold
The driver's side door key lock becomes impossible to turn whenever the temperature drops below freezing. It always got stiff in the winter but now it's becoming impossible to open the car when it's cold.
I tried sparying in WD-40, graphite lock lubricant, teflon Liquid Wrench, etc... None of ...

How do I reset the ECU?
I was thinking of trying to experiment with different octane gas and I'd like to reset the ECU in order to get a good feel of what's going one. How do I do it? (Dave, any hints?)
Re: Performance ideas (KL-ZE fell through, now what?)
Another idea about improved braking would be to get some dual-piston calipers to replace the stock single-piston ones, espcially in the front. I posted something about that a while ago but got no replies. Does anyone know if it's possible to get dual-piston calipers for the front brakes?

Re: Performance ideas (KL-ZE fell through, now what?)
The thing is that I thought it would come with the VAF. I phoned the guy in Montreal three times to make sure that it came with the VAF and my understanding was that it would have it, but it didn't. I realize the VAF is fairly easy to come across, but I could not find a used one in town and a new ...

Performance ideas (KL-ZE fell through, now what?)
I was all excited about putting in a KL-ZE in my car, but it didn't work out. I ctually had it fdelivered from Montreal today but when it came it was missing the air-flow meter, and from what I understood I cannot make it run without the meter. Hopefully I will eventually get the right KL-ZE, but in ...

Re: Telling KL-ZE apart from KL-03
Thanks for the help. If anyone else needs the info, it is possible to tell the KL-ZE apart from the KL-03 from the outside, mainly by the intake manifold. Re: Do I need a different clutch with a KL swap?
I'm pretty sold on the aftermarket clutch idea. My question is whether I can order a clutch for a 1.8L MX-3 and fit it to the 2.5L engine or do I need to order a clutch for a 2.5L MX-6/Probe instead?
