Well i didn't even know it but my car had duck tape on the manafold boot there already.


Took off the old, put on new tape, 1st i cleared it all really well, then put duck tape on ripped in half into the boot crack where it flexes, did 3 layers up on the sides got it all smooth and tight., then put ...

engine start,

2k RPM

warmup

surging, idle-2k, idle 2k
this will subside about 5 min after,

will then start again for say 30 seconds if you touch the throttle!

well i started it up to show my buddy what the surging was.

and well, i tdidnt surge, it just sat at 2k RPM, i revved it, it was at like 2300, dropped back down to 2000

no surging..........

it has a weak a-- battery in there so maybe it just needs a new battery?

fair enough i would say the same thing, im just impatient

when the car is first started it will idle high say, 1700 or so. it will then start "surging" and will flucuate rpm of about 150, until something "warms" up and the surging then subsides as if it never happened.

good news, and bad news,

good news first : found the faceplate, a dealer forgot to bring it into the auction, cant wait to see what deck it is :D

the bad news, going to get the car today, the one key we got doesnt open ...

hmm when i did lock the car last i did to the passenger first.

also there is a deck already installed, teh OEM one is out of it.

the deck that is in there has no faceplate. therefore i gotta rip it out to find out what model it is and track down a faceplate
