These MX-3s don't run on gas, they don't listen to driver input, they operate 100% on sensors... as I was frustratingly explaining to my wife last night, a car used to run on gas, and if you gave it more gas, it needed more air, it would suck more air and fuel, and need more air, basically feeding ...

Alternator belt snapping
#1 - Check the accessory belt tensioning pulley (pulley with a screw on it visible from the top, not the timing belt tensioners), mine made the squealing you described (wasn't the belt slipping but thought it was) for awhile before finally totally freezing one day on the way to work, causing the ...

Probably way late to matter ( 2 months late), but the 0-60 speed for the V6 is around 8.4 seconds officially (either 8.4 or 8.5, can't remember which was the "official" and which was the C&D tested speed). It actually can be faster, Mazda specs the engine at "135 +/- 12 HP", if you get to the plus ...

Sounds like your alternator is probably dying, but it could be your battery also (or both, as strain on one can kill the other one after not too long)... other easy things to check first though...
Check battery cable connections... remove the cables, clean the clamps (and check for cracks), and the ...

Hope you got that fixed before now... but if not...
Mine did the same thing (switch worn out ultimately), I simply popped the switch assembly off, desoldered the wires (after documenting as best I could with a voltage meter the wires that still worked properly , reversed them, and closed it... I've ...

Wheel bearing removal tip
I've seen several posts about this, wanted to post a helpful hint...
Several people have had problems removing the wheel bearing locknut (as did I)... I've seen posts of people jumping on breaker bars, not safe and probably not good for the suspension.
Better idea, guaranteed to help in nearly all ...

There is a tool at the autoparts store for this
The one I got is a "universal" tool, it is a block that fits onto a socket wrench, with different shape "pins" on each facing (so you can find the facing that fits best). Using that, you have to push and turn the piston back into the caliper (screwing ...

As mentioned, it could be the intake hose, or even airbox, does it "stumble" before stalling (and does revving it a little keep it from stalling?) Mine was a cracked airbox, the MX-3s are very sensitive to any airflow/pressure changes. (Try loosening the oil cap (stall) or lifting the dipstick (RPM ...
