Hmm, well, first off I wouldn't say a supercharger system would be cheaper than a turbo per se, in fact, I know of very few supercharged MX-3's but I'm sure you can find them around.

You can put a basic turbo system (no bells and whistles) in your car for around $650-$800. A KLZE will cost you upwards of $1500-$2000 unless you can do the installation yourself.
