When i installed the turbo, the MAf was afer the air filter, before the turbo. The hallmeter was always showing rich mixture, and it was difficult to tune. I decided to search google and i found lots of Turboed ars with blowthrough MAf systems. Than i decided to place my MAf after the Intercooler ...

i added a regular one, but it is not working.
What happened to the Avatars? I cannot add one from the gallery.

I am using the MAf after the intercooler and after the BOV, under pressure, at 14PSI and it hasn´t blown so far, this setup has about 1 year.

My 1.6 Rs turbo setup.
My MAF was installed AFTER the intercooler and after the BOV, close to the Intake Manifold, i am using this configuration for about 1 year, no problem at all. Takes 12 PSI without any problem!
I searched a lot before this setup, and decided to give it a try, worked fine!!

Well, we made this configuration as close to the original non turbo as possible.

Engine - Manifol with o2 sensor and wastegate- turbo - Intercooler - bov - tb.

The O2 sensor was located at the original manifold, as well as the EGr pipe

Air filter - MAF - turbo

Thinking about placing the MAF like ...

Mine is before turbo. No problem at all.

A piece of metal were welded to the hood to make the headlights look more agressive, the gauges were homemade, i painted it with fluorescent paint, and installed a black light lamp to make it glow.
Looks pretty cool.

I am planning on going turbo until the end of this year.
My MX-3 is 1.6 16V B6-ZE.
Seems that the MAf cannot support the forced induction, and it is a major headache.
Is there another MAF we can use under forced induction?
I have searched and some ppl posted that thr RX-7 MAF works fine.
