Since the transmission has not died yet and is "slipping" I'm going to go the rebuild route.
I believe this trans to be a F4A-EL(?), and it doesn't look too horrible to rebuild. <<< Famous last words :lol:

If it is an MTX, the chances are the transmission is NOT slipping, but the clutch is. Your transmission will be fine.

Joined this site over 5 years ago and now I'm back.
Just picked up a 93 Anniversary Raspberry!
Needs a new transmission, I was told "transmission is slipping".
From the little I have researched I can use a Probe tranny which seems to be more readily available.

the car has not been moded, the only modifications to the car is the 2.5 liter swap.

Yhe car is in decent shape, needs some body work to fender, has a dent in it can easily be pulled.
