Re: Combat View
I have the combat wing, and It really doesnt obstruct the view too much. just splits it in two (well i guess three if you count that litle window on the vertical part of the hatch. I might be able to get a picture of it later today for you.

gunmetal rims
Has anyone installed Gun metal 17" rims on a black mx-3? I can get a good deal on a set of core racing 6 spoke 17" and they are gun metal. Anyone have pics or an idea if it would look good?

Re: oil pan
i don't have a digital camera right now but I can describe it. the patch is about 4" by 4" or bigger. Out of the rear side of the patch comes an electrical cord which runs to a plug in that hangs by the front bumper. I don't know if the plug goes into the oilpan or is just a heating element applied ...

oil pan
I went under my car to change the oil for the first time since i bought it a couple months ago and i saw something i consider to be strange. The oilpan had a big patch on it and there was an electrical cord (wall plug in type) running underneath the patch into the oil pan. The electrical cord then ...

Re: Normal?
If thats what it is should i consider doing the rings on it? I am saving for a KLZE swap but in the meantime if it is relatively inexpensive to do the seals myself i will do them. I understand it will be quite a bit of labor to do the seals but what is the average cost as i can do this job myself ...

Normal?
I know my car burns oil as i have to dump 1 L every couple of weeks into it but i was wondering if anyone had any idea where it is burning oil. Some days it blows smoke while idling and when i give it gas. But then other days, more often than not, it doesn't blow any smoke at all even when revving ...

Re: Should I sell my 94 mx-3 rs for a gs?
The Lower insurance would be a good reason to stay with the 4 cyl but that all depends on where you live. I'm 18 and live in Alberta, Canada. Insurance for me is about 4600 a year. And thats just plpd, no collision. It wouldnt matter if i was driving a Geo metro or a corvette it would be the same ...

Hey Pelado. I'm new here but I'll be performing a 2.5L swap in the near future as well. Do you still have this word document? do you think you could email it to me as well if you still have it? makdawg420@hotmail.com Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: chugging oil
ya i got screwed over, I bought it and it didnt smoke at all, then it just started burning oil. I think it might be more than 400 km, but i'm in the habit of dumping 1 L into it almost every week :( I really like the car though so i wanna get a ZE in it. But i'm sketched that the motor might be gone ...

chugging oil
My 94 GS has 211 000 km on it and the motor is blowing a good amount of smoke. The smoke is white and puffs out when i stomp on it. I'm using 5w40 oil and it goes through about 1 L every 400 km. Is there anything i can do (different oil, leak sealant, etc.) that i can do to make it not burn so bad ...
