Yes, that's what I did. Actually, that's how my car was when I bought it. I am still idling a little high -- 1000-1200 rpm -- but that's not too bad. When I have the AC on it falls to aroung 400-500.
By the way, found solution to my hard start problem. My car would not start easily after it had ...

Idle air control valve HELP!
I need a new (or a normally operating used) idle air control valve. Dealership price is too high. Does anybody know another place where I can get the part from? Would the Probe GT valve fit? I don't think I can find that one either.
I would appreciate any advice!
Thanks, guys.

Engine acts weird after change of spark plugs
Problem after problem...
Now I changed my spark plugs with NGK and now my engine runs on higher rpms and it is a little shaky... I haven't changed the spark plug wires... is it recommended that you change the wires with the spark plugs? Engine is louder than normal.
Are there NGK spark plugs ...

Re: hard start problem (interesting)
I disconnected the wires under the driver's seat, and the stupid thing does not beep anymore to warn me about my seatbelts. Thanks for the solution.
Darren, I have to say that I cannot really hear the fuel pump when I turn the key... I will try tonight by removing the rear seat...
If the case is ...

Re: hard start problem (interesting)
I'll check my fuel pump and see. So far, I don't think I've been able to hear it. But, EVERY time I try to start it after I just turned it off, starts right up.

Re: hard start problem (interesting)
Should be something with the fuel pick up... I think it is a little better on a full tank.

Re: hard start problem (interesting)
Actually, I was thinking more about the water and the oil getting into my combustion chambers. What I noticed, last week I think I put too much oil in my car (or to "high" level) and then it was almost impossible to start it at horizontal) and of course, had the white smoke on start up. Really ...

Yeah, it is some weird stuff, ain't it :) ?
Anyhow, thanks guys for participating. Dancake, I thought it was funny, nothing wrong with humor, as long as it is not personal, hehe.
Darren, I've meant to post the question about the fuel pump, and I forgot. Re: Is 13 beeps on start normal?
Thanks for the QUICK reply, Darren Hyderman. So, the car SHOULD beep 13 times, even if everything in the car works fine? Beeps are not error codes of any kind, are they?
Is it difficult to find and disconnect under the seat?

hard start problem (interesting)
OK, there is a challenge, even for the experts I think:
I have a hard start problem after my car has sat for a while (1+ hours, I guess). I found similar topics before, and one of the solutions I found was that there might be a leak in one of the injectors, I have not checked that. The weird thing ...

Is 13 beeps on start normal?
I know this is a very beginner's question but I I am wondering if 13 beeps are normal on start, or even when you turn the key to contact position? I am currently having problems with my starting, and I think my idle air control valve is out, but I will post another topic for that problem.
How many ...

I know how you feel, guys! Same here. I've had it for about two months and a half and I admire its shape all the time. The other day I painted my wipers and the plastic under the windshield. They were faded, but now look black. Small things like that make a difference, (for only $3 and some one ...
