Re: CV Joint, CV Boots, Axles, etc. (Im so confused...)
Axle shafts are fortunately a quick and easy fix. Unfortunately dealers like to charge a fortune for some reason. The deal is this, you will get a core return credit of like 100$ on the old one, you don't get this benefit at the dealer. They usually keep you old parts for added profit and sell your ...

Re: Cold Start
I would tend to say the problem wouldn't lie in the injectors. The fuel pressures are high enough to generate heat internally and eventually fire. Your prob. may infact lie toward leaky valve guides, that was an issue with mine a few years back. Likely Oil is leaking past and causing great ...

Re: Engine light!!!
Check engine light 90% off the time is O2 sensor. Sometimes it is a bugger in colder climates, I'm from edmonton so I've seen it lots.
What happens is the engine runs under the optimal temperature due to the cold climate, so the fuel is bruning inefficiently. So the computer says hey you don't ...

Re: got some problems!?!?!?!?!?!
Are you burning blue?
it is possible blowbye has caused major valve interference at higher RPM, typically indicated by the engine shuttering.
Also this would explain the low idle trouble, and in-turn would definitely be vacuum difficulties.
Check compression,
Hot and Cold

Upgrade ECU=bad idea,
the KLZE is a higher displacement engine= more fuel. Upgrading the ECU will adjust the K8 to throw more fuel into the combustion chamber. Which at first glance you think thats a great idea. But then you'll start to see pennies fly out the door in fuel cost. Automobiles are ...

Re: Exhaust System
Experienced 2 1/4" exhaust.
Recently I did some major customes to my exhaust. All in stages to see the differences. I first added a vibrant hi-flo/perf. muffler, on a stock exhaust system. Noticed a huge gain all over the RPM range. Next I removed the resonator, not much diff. Then the cat ...

Re: HEKP ME!!! new car probs
Typically 90% of the time on the mx-3, the CEL is a direct indication of ERG, PCV or exhaust/intake air issues. Being that the car has no cat, it is very likely the CEL is on detecting uncleaned or inefficient fuel burning. Although the engine may be operating ok. The burning fuel issue would likely ...
