You would want to keep your OBD-1 ECU. It allows your car to be modified a lot easier. Honda people who have OBD-2 ECUs want to convert to OBD-1 because you can make use of engine management systems. Thanks. Yeah Civics make good daily drivers, they're reliable and get good fuel economy. They were never meant for racing, except for the Si's and R's.
